Analyze and resolve problems associated with desktop computers and laptops including network connectivity, printing, wireless/cellular communications, hardware, desktop software, viruses, operating systems, Outlook mail, and workstation reimaging in a multi location environment.
Evaluate system hardware and software requirements. Perform analysis of needs and contribute to the design of computing architecture, integration, and installation.
Set up and maintain various networked computer systems. Analyze, troubleshoot system faults, run diagnostic tests on network operating systems, software, and hardware to detect and solve problems.
Audit and maintain security levels consistent with the organizational security policies. This may include developing and implementing policies, performing intrusion testing, identifying and correcting security vulnerabilities, implementing security related software and managing patch levels.
Design and create data backup subsystems and proactively monitor system backups.
Design and implement UPS and alternate power systems including battery and stand-by generation.
Monitor performance of systems and report status. Identify deviations from agreed service level agreements and recommend corrective action.
Conduct the development, delivery, deployment of software, utilities and packaged programs.
Considerable knowledge of software applications installation, operation, testing, migration, and maintenance methods and techniques.
Establish equipment asset tracking including receiving of equipment and maintaining inventory records.
Evaluate cost, review contracts, and feasibility of external telecommunication services. Provide technical coordination with the providers relative to upgrades, testing, new implementations, and migrations.
Design, install, and administer analog, digital, and VOIP phone systems.
Develop security solutions including perimeter, digitally recorded CCTV, and access control.
Available to be on call during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Skill in communicating technical information to non-technical users. Ability to train others.
Skill in developing, reviewing and editing documentation.
